Sampling Budget Coordinator is free, open-source software provided under the MIT License.

Operational judgment

The reports are estimates based on the collector configuration, replica scenarios, and input rates you provide. They do not model burst traffic, adjustment lag, uneven load balancing, or vendor-side accounting. Review the stated assumptions and validate changes in your own environment.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. You are responsible for deployment decisions, observability coverage, and costs arising from your infrastructure.

Acceptable use

You may use, modify, and distribute the software under the MIT License. Do not misrepresent estimates as measurements of production traffic.
